This post will be about the design of my upcoming website project with my partner:

  • Website Objectives:

The objectives for the website are to provide farmers with a place to sell and promote their vegetables. People who come to the site should be able to pull any information they need about the vegetable as well as order it online.

  • Who are the audience for the site:

The audience for the site is for both farmers and consumers as it attracts the farmers with a place to sell their goods and provides a place for consumers to buy them.

  • What is the content of the site:

The content of the site is strictly for the sale of vegetables as well as the displaying of information that follows with the item.

  • What interactivity the site will provide?

The interactivity the site will provide is giving the farmers access to a database that keeps track of their vegetable and giving the consumers the ability to look up the vegetables and order them.

  • Design elements of the site: Layout, Colors, Typography, Images and Navigation you will provide to the site.

The layout of the site will be simple. It will include a nav bar at the top to guide the consumers to the product they are looking for and below it will be the information for that product.

The colors that will be used for the site will be vibrant or something that can be attributed to outside work or farming.

The typography will be something easy to read and understand and the font sizes won’t be too big or too small.

The images included will be of the vegetables that we are selling and pictures of the farm in which they came from.

The navigation of the site will be simple because of the nav bar located at the top of the page, which, will also contain a search bar for the consumers to use at will.
